Some Great No.6 Picks In NBA Archives

Currently, Damian Lillard is recognized in the 2012 NBA Draft class when they are assessing his performance. In my own opinion, he is the steal of the draft. His plays describes a sharpen veteran playmaker. I hope he will not trigger injuries like the Odens and Roys in Portland history. At least in the next 3 years, he will be one of the great pointguards the league they ever had.

Now, we will breaking down the list of great no.6 picks of NBA. Why no.6?? Because of Lillard's rank in the recent 2012 draft. Maybe it will bear either good or bad vibes if you are in that spot.

1. Larry Bird ( 1978 draft)

- Its crazy thing that his hometown team Indiana Pacers did not pick him. But, when he goes to the celebrated franchise Boston Celtics, he definitely show his maximum potential by hitting 3-point shots in spite of his height.

Among all no.6 picks in the draft history, he is the best in terms of win shares. That is totally onslaught for the Celtics.

2. Lenny Wilkens ( 1960 draft)

- In Atlanta Hawks history, this player makes a trigger to this franchise but although he never experience championship as a player, he is totally in the wall of greats in Hawks archives.

He has a consolation. He bring Seattle SuperSonics to its one and only title as a mentor already.

3. Chris Kaman ( 2003 draft)

-  This man can be a great center/forward if he is not triggered by injury history. He is one of the dominating big man that the Clippers had (when Blake and DeAndre are in college). He had a reliable shot within 16 to 18 feet that his defender cannot been determined.

4. Danilo Gallinari ( 2008 draft)

-This  guy make a statement right now. After the Carmelo Anthony trade that sent him to Denver Nuggets, he is one of the go-to-guy of George Karl after the Melo era in Colorado. He had a descent outside jumper despite of his ugly stroke when taking that shot.

5. Kenny Smith ( 1987 draft)

- He made a history on Rockets franchise when they got back-to-back title after Jordan surprise exit to the NBA during mid 90's. He is so blessed with Hakeem Olajuwon who boost his confidence to take his natural talent- that is taking  3-pt shots.

6. Antoine Walker ( 1996 draft)

- Deadly presence outside characterized this guy. He can antagonize his opponents most especially on rebounding.
