The Over-Rated Newbies- A 2014 NBA Pre- Draft Preview

Some American hoop fans evaluated that the draft class for this year was such like in 2003- the batch of so-called superstars like Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony,Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. But by the deep assessment of great players and college mentors, it was an opposite observation. I read an article that two NBA executives Danny Ainge and great Jerry West emphasized that this year's draft class was overrated and "not a game-changers".  Poor class- exact term for that just like the draft class of 2013 comprising draft bust Anthony Bennett, right??

In just recent time, based on the news, about 30 of the college players are decided to enter NBA Draft headed by Andrew Wiggins, Marcus Smart, Tyler Ennis, Noah Vonleh, Zach Lavine, Kyle Anderson and others. A career decision awaits for the likes of Jabari Parker and Joel Embiid, as of this time. They have intangibles but some cynics stated how it will translate on a very physical and wild environment of professional basketball. Wiggins and company should adjust more than they expected to overcome those types of challenges otherwise, they are the bane of the league.

The National Championship was recently concluded. Let's be relax for a while and wait to any results because someday, this group could be the leader of the band. NBA executives should not be impatient in looking for a perfect one. Remember, a great rookie rare to hold a Larry O'Brien trophy on his freshman year..
