Honestly, I did not follow any games of Azkals because of my hype on basketball-NBA,NCAA,UAAP,PCCL and PBA. This kind of instinct creates me some doubts about the capabilities of this team into the superpowers. If we take the basis of current FIFA Ranking, the Azkals is "outcast" by the top countries such as Spain,Germany,England,Portugal among others.
For me, the introduction of this sport to the country is totally too late. Why?? Majority of the sports fanatics are endured into the hype of hoops moves. Some critics will say "Puro pagwapuhan lang naman ang Azkals na yan. Wala din namang ibubuga". Admittedly say, football is not a favorite sport of many.
Despite of all, the Azkals is currently standing because of its fans. To defend the Azkals pride, they bashing the critics who tried to enter on their social media accounts. And that is a reality.
Recently, the football analysts questioned the capability of coach Michael Weiss to handle this team. Maybe after 4-0 win over Sri Lanka last year, they forget what is the Weiss' vision for the Azkals. In their last friendly matches, they had scoreless draws. Why?? Questioning the Weiss capability. The critics also hit Chieffy Caligdong for a alike Christian Ronaldo pose.
Well, at the end of the day, they are still Azkals. They will try to popularize this sport. I hope that they will succeed before the retirement of Younghusband brothers.
