2012-2013 PBA Philippine Cup Semis Preview (In My Analysis)

Four teams are remain standing. One common goal are their aspiration. They will use their body, mind and heart to overcome the curse of seven games of hell. There are so many altercations will occur and it is not a surprise for the Filipino hoop fans.

In my previous posts, this statements are my personal perspective. Maybe they will be offended but it may serve a good motivation to win all out and all heart.

Rain or Shine Elasto Painters vs. San Mig Coffee Mixers

Shooting fiesta between James Yap and Jeff Chan will be the specialty of this kind of affair.

The physicality of Rain or Shine will define this series. Why? Because in a disciplined squad like San Mig Coffee, they cannot handle that type of opponent. They want a smooth flow of triangle offense installed by Tim Cone. And leading by so-called 'Extra Rice Inc' consisting of Beau Belga and JR Quinahan, they will try to disturb that system by giving away their bodies to make their foe miserable in the whole semis chain.

San Mig had a physical player as well such as Yancy De Ocampo, Marc Pingris and Raffy Reavis. Comparing to ROS' Belga and Quinahan, their attitude is controlled by Cone. If Tim Cone is still in Alaska, De Ocampo, Pingris and Reavis will become more treacherous than the first two.

Turning point: The bench of this both squad are deep. It's all about who are deeper on this semis battle.
Their 2nd consistent player for Mixers is PJ Simon while Rain or Shine scoring production is unpredictable. Why? Because everyone can be a best player. It's all about how Tim Cone will handle the impulsive game of Elasto Painters.
One thing is Jireh Ibanes will be back in action. Be ready to boo him, James Yap fans.

Fearless forecast: It will end between 6-7 games. San Mig will grab the series.

Alaska Aces vs. Talk N text Tropang Texters

Alaska Aces has rise from the dead. Their immortality representing their rookie Calvin Abueva describes this team today.

After the exit of Tim Cone, the Aces of course was hard-pressed in both offense and defense. It was taken first by Joel Banal for two conferences but their story turned out because of Luigi Trillo assumption as Banal's successor. As for always, they struggle also.

But in this season, so-called 'The Beast' Calvin Abueva served as saviour for them. Abueva answered their prayers and consequently, they are in the semis. The addition of former top rookie pick JV Casio upgraded their roster after the farewell of LA Tenorio.

For the Tropang Texters, the history of injuries, bullying and so many negations attacked this squad last season. There's one term who will unleash for this franchise- it's teamwork.

Very well-known mentor Norman Black administered the unfinished business of Chot Reyes for the national team purposes. Black's policy is existing like his days as coach of a very versatile San Miguel franchise during 90's. It is not an astonishment thing for TNT to lead Philippine Cup team status. Of course, they will try to make it to Finals once again and test the possible 2nd grandslam in Philippine Cup history.

Turning point: If Tropang Texters are miserable in both ends of the floor, this is the best chance for Aces to snatch this series because of being underdog.
The Aces will try to employ surprise attacks. It's all about how the strong TNT anticipate those attacks.
Of course, total team effort will be the strongest arsenal for Tropang Texters to make it again into the championship round.

Fearless forecast:  It will end between 4-6 games. Tropang Texters will grab the series.
