Top 5 NBA Most Impressive Newly-Acquired Players

In an offseason, it is natural to make a roster make-up . Sometimes, you will sacrifice several players for only  one big name comprising of ten to twenty millions of dollars to become that team famous and competitive.

Now, we will slicing down the five most impressive acquired players (maybe via trade or free agency) that receive huge impact to its team and may shift it into a possible championship run.

5. Jamal Crawford ( LA Clippers)

Average: 16.6 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 2.3 apg

He is a journeyman for the last few seasons. He is looking for an effective team that sticks to its natural talent. And he find Clippers as the answer.
Despite of being off the bench, he produced points that needed for his squad if Chris Paul and Blake Griffin is in scoring trouble.
He hit high percentage shot and it is already expected for him.
Sometimes, the best player of a game came from the bench and Jamal is not a new here in this type of recognition.
Coming to the playoffs, he had an important role for a possibly title run.

4. OJ Mayo ( Dallas Mavericks)

Average: 20.4 ppg, 3.5 apg, 4.1 rpg

OJ wanted to stand on his own feet. And he firm for a decision to goes to Dallas Mavericks.
During their preseason, Mayo had become one of the reliable shooters for Mavs after a miserable injury from their German main man Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry exit.
Mayo's unrelinquished ability to score is the Mavs standpoint as of now. Fellow shooter like Vince Carter is on wretched state already maybe his age triggers.
Team owner Mark Cuban gives Mayo confident to be a possible face of the franchise after Dirk era and I will not be surprise if it will happen.

3. Joe Johnson ( Brooklyn Nets)

Average: 16.8 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 3.8 apg

When a team goes to its new homecourt, money and influence occurs. Joe Johnson is not new in this kind of situation. He chose to play in Brooklyn after his roller coaster career in Atlanta Hawks. Some will bash him because he wants higher offer but you will never put a blame on this guy.
I think he renew himself as one of the helper of another great pointguard Deron Williams most especially in terms of offense.
An efficient bench improves its franchise since their stay at old arena in New Jersey.

2. Ray Allen ( Miami Heat)

Average: 12.1 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.1 apg, 47% 3-pt.fgl percentage

After a clash with his ex-teammate Rajon Rondo when he was a Celtic, Ray Allen chose a small offer to join the Miami Heat's Big Three comprising of Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
Eric Spoelstra stated that a 36-year old guard from Connecticut will play a major role to become Miami a deadly squad in the East side.
His deadly clutch treys is his strongest asset. Realistically, he is unstoppable because he will be the fourth option for the Heat's offense if Big 3 struggles.
I hope that he will not suffer any kind of injury this season to prove to the opposition that they are ready to make a catch for their franchise 3rd crown.

1. James Harden ( Houston Rockets)

Average: 24.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 54 apg

Like Mayo, Harden is the only a bench reliever for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now, he was traded going to Houston Rockets, he will prove something to everyone that he want to dignify his roller coaster hoop career.
I chose him as best acquired player (maybe one of the best in NBA History) because of his leadership.
I know that Rockets is struggling after they failed to go to the playoffs last season, adding a bitter sweet farewell to Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic and Argentinian forward Luis Scola via swap.
Together with famous Asian baller Jeremy Lin, Harden can make a statement now that he is not a no.2 or no.3 type of guy in terms of crunchtime but a most reliable clutch shooter.
