Top 10 Sporting Events of 2K12 (Part 2)

As the final part of 2012, here is the five most memorable events in the world of sports that will seal in the minds of every sports fanatics around the globe. It is already in the history books.





5. PBA Season Drama






All types of physicality, emotions and desire defined the 37th season of Philippine Basketball Association.
It features so many interesting facts that will be printed in all news archives.

Such as the 2nd consecutive All-Filipino crown of Talk N Text Tropang Texters, the contentious championship of Bmeg Llamados via Denzel Bowles show and rebirth of old glory days for Rain or Shine ElastoPainters.

Other thing happened was the winning of coveted MVP award by famous Spark Mark Caguioa. It was very elusive for Caguioa who are always consistent scorer in the last few years.

And the opening of 2012-2013 PBA season, featured the depth draft class of 2012 containing Junemar Fajardo, Calvin Abueva, Chris Tiu and Cliff Hodge.


4. Miami Heat championship 



Finally, Lebron James finally notched his first ever championship after the first two tries. And Fil-Am Eric Spoelstra made the Philippines again on road map of fame when he cope also that prestigious title.

The turning point of that title-clinching game against Oklahoma City Thunder was the shining of long time NBA player Mike Miller which he hit 7 three-pointers especially to the second half.

And adding the spice for the Heat this 2012 is the big-time acquisition of 3-\point king Ray Allen.

3. London Olympics



On July 27,2012, London, England hosted its prominent sports event of the planet via a superb opening rites. They are so many big-time British stars and athletes featured on that opening ceremony starting from a famous character 'Mr.Bean' named Rowan Atkinson to the extent of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Almost 200 countries joined on that 3-week event including the Philippines but unfortunately, we suffered another drought in terms of medal.



2. Nonito Donaire Revenge





After the digraced defeat by Manny Pacquiao, there's one boxer who rise from the dead in the world of boxing named Nonito Donaire. It featured his four straight success for this year. He outlasted big names of bantamweight division such as Wilfredo Vasquez, Jeffrey Mathebula, Toshiaki Nishioka and recently Jorge Arce.

Another recent event was he was awarded by great sports authority ESPN a Boxer of the Year crown. That last 4 victories brought native from Bohol to the top list of pound-of-pound arena.

I expected more tougher fights for Donaire now he is slowly going to the boxing fame.


1. Philippine baseball team




This is very unfamiliar for every sports fanatics but let's face it- baseball deserved to be a watchable game for everybody. We hope that their recent stint to World Baseball Classic creates some noise for them.

Just like Azkals, we shall support this team comprising of some strange names like Jon-jon Robles, Ruben Angeles, Virgilio Roxas and many others.

In the WBC qualifier last September, Philippines goes until to the semis but they loss to New Zealand. I hope that for 2013, let us recognize this team like we treaten to Azkals and Gilas.
